Teens & Kids Whistler Private Lessons

We tailor the lesson with your child's needs and pace in mind

Private lessons offer personalized coaching with a maximum of 5 people of similar abilities. Naturally, a private lesson provides an accelerated learning environment and as a result, you can expect rapid progress. Terrain is chosen to fit your child's abilities and moods. It is a great way to be introduced (or be reacquainted) with all both mountains have to offer.

Want to spend more time with your children? We can tailor the private lesson to your family so you can ski and ride together and explore the mountains with your own instructor. Includes lift line priority. Ages 3 to 18 years.

Kid's Ski School - Infants and Toddlers (3 - 36 Months)

Whistler Blackcomb offers licensed childcare staffed by Early Childhood Educators for children age 3 months to 36 months. These people love kids so your children will have a great time. All our staff have first aid training. You will be given a complimentary Telus pager so you can rest assured everything is fine and enjoy your ski day with total peace of mind. This is a fun, stimulating, age appropriate environment in four convenient locations. Relax and share the spirit of the mountains with your whole family.

Our best group lesson program for kids. It's absolutely jam packed with fun events and activities. Your kids will get comfortable fast as they have the same instructor all week. What happens is nice all around - the kids get to know other kids, the instructor really gets to know the kids and lasting friendships often blossom. This is an enhanced learning progression that ends up in measurable results. Fun is just the beginning.

The Adventure Camp's special weekly themes and activities are so much fun that kids have a problem leaving. We solved the problem with two special Evening Programs to ease them out of their adventure and back home.

Ride Tribe: Ski School for Teens 12 - 18 Years

Ski School Camps:

Camps are the best teen group lesson experience because you get the same instructor all week and cover tons of mileage – we're talking huge vertical every day. When you come down off the hill, join us for more action in activities such as indoor rock climbing.

Five days will change the way you see the mountains. An unforgettable learning/fun/energizing/full tilt experience. Also available: 2-day camps on Saturday/Sunday.

New this season, 12 year olds have the option of registering in Ride Tribe. Families can choose which program (Whistler Kids or Ride Tribe) is right for their 12 year old. Ride Tribe: Ski School for Teens 12 - 18 Years

This is no ordinary ski school, it's a culture. This is where you ski and ride with pros who know the mountain inside out, top to bottom and bottom to top. The Tribe has a feel all its own and the results prove that doing it differently is doing it better. For those looking to form their own group of up to 5 students, or for one-on-one coaching, try our private lessons.

Park Freeride Groups

The Park, Pipe and Big Mountain experience with no additives or distractions. Small groups – max 3 – advanced skiers and riders only*. We accept no substitutes. This is a daily program that covers an intro to park & pipe right through to advanced park & pipe. When the snow is dumping, deep powder, steeps, and freeriding are added to the day.

*Advanced and expert skiers and riders (ability 5 & 6) aged 10 to 18 years old. Helmets are mandatory.

Whistler Kids Evening Programs

Kids Night Out:

Now you're talking! An evening dinner and party for children ages 5-12 so they can have a break from their parents. They deserve a night out with other kids and lots of goodies. They'll have lots of experiences on the mountain and in the Village to talk about. Theme nights. Every night includes a pizza dinner! Good food. Good times.

Time:  6:00 - 10:00pm

Theme Schedules:
Movie Night:
Watch your favourite kids flick with friends and popcorn. Bring your outdoor clothes for running and sliding in the snow, too!

Snow Games Night:
Bring snowsuits, helmets and mitts for some action on toboggans and snowbikes. There will be an obstacle course and a Village scavenger hunt too.

Meadow Park Night:
We'll be on the road to fun on the ice. Rental skates are available at Meadow Park Rec Centre and included. If there's time, we'll dip into the pool so bring your suit and towel as well as warm outdoor clothing.

Whistler Kids Evening Programs

Whistler Kids Jib Sessions:

An evening introduction to the world of tricks and jibs on the Magic Carpet and the Magic Chair for children ages 5-12. Minimum Level 3 ski or snowboard ability required. Learn to jump with the pros on our fun boxes and beginner rails and have dinner too. Children should arrive with their equipment, ready to jib with our Terrain Park Pros.

Dates: Thursday evenings, December - March Weather permitting.
